What are the symptoms of ADHD?
ADHD symptoms fall into three categories: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.
Inattention:
- Difficulty focusing and staying on task
- Easily distracted
- Forgetfulness
- Losing things
- Difficulty following instructions
- Daydreaming
- Appearing not to listen
- Difficulty organizing tasks and activities
Hyperactivity:
- Fidgeting
- Restlessness
- Difficulty staying seated
- Excessive talking
- Difficulty playing quietly
- Always “on the go”
Impulsivity:
- Interrupting others
- Difficulty waiting their turn
- Blurting out answers
- Acting without thinking
